I’m performing a recital of Mozart and Gilbert and Sullivan works this January in St Andrews, accompanied by the brilliant Walter Blair!

The recital is taking place in the beautiful Holy Trinity Church at 7PM on Friday 17th January and the programme will be as follows:

– My kindly friends…Happy young heart (The Sorcerer)
– Ma se colpa io non ho…Batti batti o bel Masetto (Don Giovanni)
– The hours creep on apace…A simple sailor lowly born (H.M.S. Pinafore)
– Tu virginum corona (Exsultate, jubilate)
– Ach, ich Fühl’s (Die Zauberflöte)
– Giunse al fin il momento…Deh vieni non tardar (Le nozze di Figaro)
– Oh sisters deaf to pity’s name…Poor wand’ring one (the Pirates of Penzance)

I had a wonderful time last year as a choral scholar with Holy Trinity Church Choir, under the musical direction of Tom Duncan; I’m very much looking forward to performing in the Church again.

The recital is free entry, with a retiring collection for the church fund. Holy T has kindly published a short description of the event in their magazine – so look out for this in the January issue!
