This year, the chosen topic for the University of St Andrews’ English Colloquium was “Opera and Fiction”.

I took part, alongside soprano Lesley-Jane Rogers and Bede Williams’ New Music Ensemble, in Thea Musgrave’s Three Women. The work consisted of distinct sections, which I narrated, taken from three of Thea Musgrave’s historical operas: Mary, Queen of Scots, Simón Bolívar and Harriet, the Woman called Moses.

This was in fact the British Premiere of the work – so I was thrilled to be involved!
